Hutchison Technologies have partnered with some incredible brands across leisure and fitness, retail, and hospitality over the last 30 years to design and install premium technology solutions to bring facilities to life.

We’re looking for a Business Development Manager with experience in sales & account management with a passion, vision, and enthusiasm to identify new sales leads and take them through to fruition. We are looking for a self-motivated, driven sales professional who can use a consultative sales skillset to promote our solutions and services whilst building and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing clients and suppliers.

What you will do

  • Ensure installation drawings accurately detail the installation agreed with the client and obtain client sign-off.
  • Partner with the HT technical colleagues to ensure the effective production of detailed technical estimates for client sign-off.
  • Understand the Hutchi product portfolio and educate customers on what products/services would best suit their needs to provide their customers with the ideal experience.
  • Create activity forecasts and sales pipelines ensuring that each opportunity is tightly managed always being focussed on reaching monthly sales targets.
  • Maintain relationships with existing clients and provide then with an excellent “customer first” experience.
  • Identify new business opportunities in a variety of markets.
  • Create sales strategies to successfully reach new business opportunities.
  • Build relationships with new clients and continue to build and nurture relationships to encourage repeat business.
  • Attend trade shows and events to build relationships with industry partners and to stay up to date with the latest trends.
  • Work alongside our Projects team ensuring consistent communication on sales timelines and providing an accurate handover, continuing to work closely throughout the project until project handover as “one team”.
  • Work as part of our Sales team, and alongside our Technical and Projects teams, to provide technical solutions and accurate estimates for presentation to the client for sign-off
  • Accurately interpret technical design and specification of systems and solutions, influencing the best fit choices through your professional consultation skills
  • Promote the full range of Hutchi’s projects and services in a professional sales manner, creating the opportunity for future business with each client.

  • Experience building relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Previous experience working in a Business Development role, within a similar environment.
  • Knowledge and experience of developing a product value proposition.
  • Technical sales experience
  • A can-do attitude and energy to drive sales and new business for the company.
  • Organized and process driven to maximize time and opportunities.
  • Self-motivated
  • UK Driving License


  • Experience working with any of the below technology as part of a previous business development role.
  • Smart Energy
  • Access Control Systems & Equipment (smart cards & wearables)
  • Aerial/ Satellite and Signal Distribution
  • Pro Audio
  • Feature and Effect Lighting [DMX controlled]
  • Voice & Data Infrastructure
  • IP Telecoms Solutions
  • Experience working with Hubspot or similar CRM
  • Relevant industry experience gained in either the European or UK markets for either: Health & Fitness, IT, Hospitality & Leisure, Retail, Education, Corporate, Banking, Medical & Wellness, or similar
